In 2012 David Hardie returned to Jackson Hole after seven years living in Scotland, happy to be home again just outside Wilson. His professional background has been in commercial real estate in the US, France and the UK; he co-founded IDI in Atlanta, Geo., and later moved to Jackson in 1993 and continues commercial real estate work now with Contour Properties in Jackson.
Hardie was raised in Scotland, educated at Eton College and earned a law degree at Cambridge University. He worked on oil rigs in the North Sea before moving to Wyoming and the US in 1976. He has also owned businesses in Scotland and Chile and is a backcountry skier, golfer, and occasional fisherman. He has served on the Vestry at St. John’s Church, is a past Chairman of the Jackson Hole Conservation Alliance and is delighted to be invited to contribute again so such a dynamic and critical organization.
