Dave Sollitt is a communications and marketing consultant with his own firm in Jackson, with both commercial and not for profit practices. Prior to moving to Jackson, Dave spent over 24 years in advertising in New York and Chicago, working on well known national and international campaigns for Miller, Coors, MetLife, Citibank, Cadbury Beverages International, and others.
Dave and his wife, Kate, served national, regional and local clients at their Jackson agency, Riddell, Sollitt & Partners before transitioning into a consulting career that has included a term as the Executive Director of The International Ecotourism Society in Washington, DC. His interests in conservation go back to his time at Arizona State University, where he worked with multiple groups in opposing the Central Arizona Project, the largest Bureau of Reclamation project ever devised.
Other local not-for-profit participation has included positions on the Off Square Theater and Jackson Youth Hockey boards. He founded a non-profit called the Cathedral Group in 2004, providing pro bono consulting to significant conservation initiatives. As a recent graduate of the Alliance’s CLI program and a member of the Wyoming Public Lands Initiative (WPLI) Wilderness Study Area Advisory Committee, he has renewed his active concern for sustaining the unique natural character of Jackson Hole.
In addition to his ASU degree in Environmental Science, Dave also holds a MS Degree from Northwestern University’s Medill School. Dave and Kate have three children. In his spare time, he spends time skiing, hiking, camping, fly fishing and racing sailboats when he can catch a ride.
