Kaya moved to Jackson Hole in Spring of 2023 after living in Montana for nearly a decade. While not in class for her B.S. in Sustainable Food and Bioenergy Systems Kaya was ski instructing and getting her fill of everything the northern end of the GYE had to offer. After a season of weed control and trail with the Montana Conservation Corps she became a trip leader through the Students of Adventure Leadership Program at the Montana State Outdoor Recreation Program and was a proud advocate of teaching people good stewardship practices.
Her position as the Outreach Manager is a trifecta combination of her favorite things: dedication to conservation and a brighter future for wild places and wildlife, writing, and connecting with people while getting the honor of sharing their stories.
Kaya is thrilled to get to call Jackson home. When she’s not in the office you can find her (responsibly) romping around the woods with her husband Nate and their dog Iris, either on skis or by foot, climbing, camping, or working on her book.
