The Moose-Wilson Corridor lies in the southwest corner of Grand Teton National Park and is renowned for its remarkable wildlife and habitat diversity. In March 2026, National Park Service (NPS) officials were ordered to revisit a proposal to build a paved pathway through the heart of the Corridor.

The Wyoming Department of Transportation (WYDOT) is considering widening the Highway 22 corridor between Jackson and Wilson from two lanes to four or more. This proposal would harm conservation easements, wetlands, and wildlife habitat without addressing the root causes of congestion. Decisions made through this process will permanently shape our community.

The Stilson is adjacent to newly constructed wildlife crossings. Teton County is planning recreational amenities on the site while also considering a permanent conservation easement.

In Teton County, we have seen a 7% increase in lodging floor area since 2012. Since 2020, the Town Council has approved a record-breaking number of large developments. 

The Town of Jackson is updating its Natural Resources Overlay (NRO) mapping and habitat protection standards, waterbodies and wetlands, and wildlife permeability standards. These updates will determine how future growth occurs in Jackson and whether development better protects the natural systems that sustain our community.
