Patrick Dominick

Board Chair

Patrick has lived in Jackson Hole full-time year-round since 2013. Prior to that, he was a regular visitor for decades.  His years in the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem (GYE) have been active –  hiking, camping, biking, kayaking, and skiing (XC, Alpine & BC) for recreation.  For ten winter seasons, he has been an alpine ski instructor at Jackson Hole Mountain Resort.  

Before joining JHCA, he served for six years on the Greater Yellowstone Coalition (GYC) Board of Directors as Treasurer and Chair of the Finance and Audit Committee.  Traveling the GYE with GYC, he gained a deep understanding of the threats and opportunities facing the Region. He has a strong interest in indigenous vegetation and in efforts to reclaim habitats harmed by human endeavors. He is concerned that the region's trajectory may ratchet away from valuing the natural landscape that makes it unique.

Patrick’s business career spanned over thirty years.  After graduating from Tulane University in New Orleans with undergraduate and MBA degrees in Accounting, Finance, and Marketing, he earned his CPA and practiced at PwC for several years. Thereafter, he held corporate positions in Finance, External and Internal Auditing, and Risk Management within the financial services industry, including banking, insurance, and investments.  He is also a Certified Fraud Examiner.  Policy, process, and governance are keen areas of interest and valuable knowledge for his Board service.
