Report Potential or Observed Helicopter Tour Violations
Recording Wind River Air’s flight path and/or safety infractions is important in holding commercial outfitters accountable and in demonstrating that these tours are incompatible with our community’s values. The public has already reported numerous instances of helicopters straying from their proposed flight paths and flying low over sensitive ecosystems or recreation areas.
If you observe scenic helicopter tours flying low or disrupting wildlife, or are disturbed by helicopter noise from within your neighborhood, Grand Teton National Park, or surrounding public lands, please report your experience. Your observation can be the same for both forms. Remember to copy it between forms to save time!
Federal Aviation Administration Reporting FormThis form reports the infraction directly to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). These reports are private, which means the Alliance doesn’t have access to the data that they generate. Reporting directly to the FAA is critical to alert the governing body responsible for these commercial tours to safety or flight path violations.
Conservation Alliance Reporting FormThis form reports the infraction to us. Collecting these observations separately from the FAA allows us to track the situation and apply useful data to our campaigns and advocacy. Your personal information will, of course, remain confidential.
*Jackson Hole Conservation Alliance enthusiastically supports the use of helicopters in search and rescue efforts.
