Today is a big day at the Alliance.
Winter closures begin today, so our Don’t Poach the Powder campaign is in full swing. Make sure you know before you go which backcountry areas are critical wildlife habitat and therefore closed to skiers, snowboarders, snowmobilers, and snowshoers.
You can download high resolution closure maps from our website.
Also happening today, the Alliance, along with the Wyoming Wilderness Association, will be hosting a screening of a new documentary film, Jumbo Wild, at the Pink Garter Theatre. To learn more about the film, check out today’s piece from the Jackson Hole News and Guide.
Doors open at 6:00, and the film begins at 7:00. All ages are welcome. You can get your tickets for $10 online at pinkgartertheatre.com or for $12 at the door. There will also be a raffle for four one day ski passes to Jackson Hole Mountain Resort if you commit to register to vote or sign up to help register your friends and neighbors. Can’t wait to see you there tonight!
Lastly, today is #GivingTuesday, an international day of giving. We encourage you to choose a better future for Jackson Hole by making a donation to the Alliance or signing up to volunteer with us.
