Summer Intern Spotlight: Welcome Ella!

Summer Intern Spotlight: Welcome Ella!

Ella is one of our new interns for the summer, joining the Alliance to work on the “Don’t Poach the Powder” campaign and assist with communications for the next few months. Coming from rural Washington just outside North Cascades National Park, Ella grew up with a deep appreciation for the outdoors. As a child and teen, she embarked on many climbing and hiking adventures with her family throughout the West. One such trip involved a stop through Jackson and a trip up the Grand Teton where she was first inspired by the beauty of the area.

Ella will begin her senior year at Dartmouth College this September where she is pursuing an Environmental Studies degree. Her second trip to Jackson came this past fall while participating in a field study program through Dartmouth Earth Science’s department. The group spend a few days investigating the Teton Fault and exploring Grand Teton National Park. It was then that she thought about spending a summer in the area and connected with the Alliance to make this internship possible!

In her free time Ella enjoys running, hiking, and pretty much anything outdoors. Being new to the area, she is always looking for folks to join her on these outings and share insights on the best trails and spots to visit! She is looking forward to an opportunity to be a part of an organization such as the Alliance and learn from the team this summer.
