In recent weeks the Board of County Commissioners (BCC) decided to extend the contract with the design consultants Opticos. The BCC proposed three choices for how to move forward with this process:
- No change to the current contract and continue with the current scope
- A contract amendment that would include an in-person meeting with the landowners and the Trust for Public Land (TPL) and create an updated site plan that incorporates the donation
- A partial contract amendment that does not include the Steering Committee Review and would provide an option for the BCC to not include additional modeling.
The BCC voted 4-1 to move forward with option 3, which was considered the fastest option to release the Neighborhood Final Draft Plan. This option will include an in-person meeting and a final draft plan layout. Teton County Planning and Building Director Chris Neubecker stated that these meetings would hopefully be scheduled before spring break. This is one step closer to the Final Neighborhood Plan being released to the public.
