It’s the calm before the traffic storm. Here’s what’s ahead for transportation in the valley
While enjoying the calm before the summer traffic season, we’re hard at work on transportation issues. The comment period for the proposed Tribal Trail Connector Road ended on May 20, and the County will proceed with selecting an intersection alternative to bring before the Board of County Commissioners for a build/no-build vote later this summer. We’ve advocated for the no-build option and would prefer the County assess the impacts from the Tribal Trail Connector Road along with the redesign and reconstruction of WY-22. WYDOT recently selected the contractor to complete the NEPA process for WY-22 and hopes to finish that process in three years – why not include consideration of Tribal Trail along with WY-22?
The Alliance transportation vision document is almost finished and we’re looking forward to sharing it with the public. Stay tuned for a launch event later this summer – we’re looking forward to your input as we advocate for a better transportation future for Teton County!
