Candidate questionnaires

Candidate questionnaires
At the Alliance, we believe that our local government works best when voters are fully informed and educated about the views of our candidates and elected representatives. In order to educate voters about candidates’ views on a range of community issues, including conservation, the Alliance requests that candidates answer a “questionnaire.” We have posted all candidates’ full and unedited responses on the following pages:

2016 – General Election (November)
  • 2016 Voter’s Guide: Thanks to local graphic designer Brennan Hussey, we have a beautiful new voter’s guide that makes all the candidates’ responses to our questionnaires way easier to navigate!
  • Mayor, Town Council, County Commission: Read the answers from the candidates who made it through the primary into the general election, and share them with your friends, in this handy PDF. And read the answers from all candidates in the “2016 – Primary” links below.
  • Teton Conservation District: we also asked the candidates for the Teton Conservation District Board of Supervisors about a range of community and conservation issues – available to read and share here on our website or in this PDF.

2016 – Primary Election (August)

An enlightened citizenry is indispensable for the proper functioning of a republic. Self-government is not possible unless the citizens are educated sufficiently to enable them to exercise oversight.
