New Efforts to Save Flat Creek
The Friends of Flat Creek are a group of nonprofits, local and federal government agencies, and concerned citizens that have come together to reactivate efforts to improve Flat Creek’s aesthetics, and riparian and instream habitat. Efforts will include establishment of the Flat Creek Overlay for the purpose of providing incentives to implement best practices for low impact development when constructing and redeveloping adjacent to and around Flat Creek. The Conservation Alliance is supportive of these efforts, and we are excited for the possibilities for improvement of our community stream.
