Supporter of the week: Taylor Phillips

Thank you for everything you do for us, Taylor!

This week we’re thrilled to spotlight an awesome member and supporter of the Alliance, Taylor Phillips! Taylor is the founder and owner of Jackson Hole EcoTour Adventures, a tourism company that offers wildlife adventures in the Jackson Hole, Grand Teton, and Yellowstone Ecosystems. After moving to Jackson in 2002, Taylor fell in love with the mountains and wildlife. He started EcoTours in 2008 to connect visitors to the natural world in hopes of instilling a conservation ethic in them.

Shortly after moving to town, Taylor got connected to the Alliance when he began getting involved in the natural history community of the valley. He joined the Board of Directors, where he served two successful terms.

Ecotours was voted best Wildlife Tour Company Grand Teton & Yellowstone in 2020 and 2021 by Best of Jackson Hole. In addition to offering fantastic tourist experiences, the company has contributed to – and is a sponsor of – the Alliance’s “Don’t Poach the Powder” campaign. They do so through the “Dollars for Conservation” program, which donates 2% of sales from every tour EcoTours provides to nonprofits protecting the wild wonders of Jackson Hole.

“It’s very important for guiding companies to give back to the natural resources we enjoy through our tours in the valley and throughout the state,” Taylor states.

Moving forward, he believes the Alliance should focus on protecting the wildlife of Jackson Hole. “The role of the Alliance in the community should be to help keep Jackson wild,” he says. “[The Alliance] needs to balance the needs of wildlife in the valley and manage it with thoughtful growth, while preserving  our community character and keeping our neighborhoods intact.”

We’re honored to have you in our community, Taylor!
