Northern South Park

Let your voice be heard.  We are in the midst of the Northern South Park Planning Commission public hearing process.  This development has the potential for 1,800 residential units.  While this development could put a big dent in our housing crisis, it should not be at the cost of our wildlife and natural resources.  We are at the stage of the process where environmentally sensitive planning can provide the balance of affordable housing and ecosystem stewardship.  So far, the Planning Commission has been receptive to the Conservation Alliance’s recommendations, but more work needs to be done.

The next Planning Commission hearing is on December 11th at 6pm.  Please write the Planning Commission at planningcom@tetoncountywy.gov and/or attend the hearing in person or virtually and ask them to balance wildlife permeability and natural resources with the need for housing.  See the Conservation Alliance’s written public comments here.
