Transportation timelines on the move

e are collaborating with key stakeholders in the transportation community and our consultants Nelson\Nygaard to prepare the JH Passage Project transportation vision and plan. We’re also working with our consultants to bring highly valuable modeling data to the discussion. We look forward to bringing you our vision later this winter, and for now we’ll update you on the schedule of two key projects:

WYDOT will begin the planning process for the Highway 22 corridor in October 2022. This is a year earlier than they had previously planned and is welcome news!  The Alliance is working to ensure our vision is included in their process and that our community values are considered as they work through the NEPA process. This process allows opportunity for public input, so please ask questions, get informed, and stay engaged.

Teton County has completed their data collection efforts around the proposed Tribal Trail Connector Road and will continue their process throughout the winter. There will likely be a public engagement workshop in February prior to a vote in front of the County Commissioners in March – we’ll update you on any changes to that schedule and will continue our efforts to oppose the approval and construction of this road.

With the WYDOT process for Highway 22 about to begin and the uncertainty of development in Northern South Park, why would we approve this connector without knowing the details of the circumstances at either end of the road? Learn more about the Tribal Trail Connector Road and join us in letting our local electeds know how you feel.
